The Tithe Barn Main Hall makes a superb venue for your celebration whether it is a

The Main Hall in the Tithe Barn has Cotswold stone walls, an oak beamed roof and a sprung maple wood floor.

The capacity is limited to a maximum of 150 people, but where people sit to table the maximum is 120.

If the tables are removed after the meal the maximum reverts to 150.

We would suggest that for a barn dance or similar you limit the numbers to about 100.

We have tables and chairs for 142, although many people hire in chairs in gold or with white covers, since ours are black polypropylene. Please note we do not hire out crockery or cutlery, although there is a small amount of crockery for providing tea and coffee in the old kitchen. The picture shows the set up for Jazz at the Barn, with tables for 80 and room to dance and have a buffet along the south wall. We don not allow live flames, enclosed or not,  in the Barn.

We do not recommend any particular caterers but we have listed some on our Caterer's Page, and many caterers in the area have served for events at the Tithe Barn and can advise you. Please see the facilities page for details of the kitchen.

The bar is run by the licensee who has sole rights for the sale of alcohol, dinks and corkage for the Tithe Barn. If you would like a bar for your reception please discuss this directly with the licensee, Leigh Norwood. There is a charge for a bar of 50 for each booking payable to the booking secretary. The details of your requirements for a bar should be discussed with the licensee and not the booking secretary.

The room is 20m by 9m and has a curtained stage at one end.

The 15th Century Tithe Barn is a superb venue for your function, but we should point out that the main hall is on the first floor which is accessible by lift from the foyer.

Please note we are not able to offer the Main Hall for hire between 30 June 2014 and the 30th August 2014

FLAMES, SMOKE and CANDLES Please note we do not allow the operation of smoke machines, our fire alarm system can not cope. We do not allow live flames, candles, or tea lights in the Tithe Barn whether enclosed or not, this is for safety and insurance reasons. Battery operated flickering tea lights are fine.
